DESCRIPTION

This chart provides the colors observed with dispersion staining and either type of stop: annular stop (AS) or central stop (CS). The colors shown are a continuous series throughout the entire range of the matching wavelength (λo). This is the basis of a method of determining λo by comparing the colors produced in dispersion staining (DS) when either the annular stop (ASDS) or central stop (CSDS) dispersion staining objective is used.
