Directions and Transportation
Inter/Micro is held at McCrone Research Institute, located at 2820 South Michigan Avenue (28th and Michigan) in Chicago (see map below). McCrone is a one-story, black brick building set back from Michigan Avenue with a driveway and parking lot that can be accessed only from the southbound lane of Michigan Avenue. Parking is free.

If You Are Driving
- From expressways I-90/94, you can exit at 31st Street and go east towards Michigan Avenue.
- From Lake Shore Drive, you can exit at 31st Street and go west toward Michigan Avenue.
From either of these two directions, proceed north three blocks to 28th Street. You can U-turn to head south in front of Roger’s Auto Group, a half block north of 28th Street. Our building is a one-story brick building set back from Michigan Avenue with a driveway and free parking lot.

If You Are Arriving at O’Hare or Midway Airport
O’Hare Airport (ORD) and Midway Airport (MDW) connect Chicago with most cities. Taxicab fare from O’Hare to downtown Chicago is approximately $50, and the fare from Midway to downtown Chicago is approximately $35.
Public Transportation
Buses stop in front of our parking lot driveway on Michigan Avenue. Buses and trains are operated by the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA). The CTA Blue Line train services O’Hare, and the CTA Orange Line train services Midway. For bus service to the classroom, take the CTA No. 1 Indiana/Hyde Park or the CTA No. 4 Cottage Grove, NOT the No. 4 Express. The fare is $2.25 each way.
